If you’re looking for the Hollywood Senior Center, you’re in the right place!
Over the last 50 years, our community, impact, and services have grown to reach far beyond the walls of the Senior Center and our beloved Hollywood neighborhood—it’s time our name reflected that. So, it is with great pleasure that we (re)introduce ourselves:
We are now The Community for Positive Aging.
You can expect the same services and programs you’ve come to know and love at The Center, along with more public advocacy, cross-community collaborations, and extra support for everyone age 55 and older.
Preservation Pictures
When Generations Tell Stories Together,
Communities Come Alive
Preservation Pictures is a documentary about an extraordinary intergenerational after-school program at Buckman Elementary in Portland, Oregon, where wise elders and curious kids came together to listen, tell stories, and create films side by side. Now, in partnership with Gal Pal Films, we're launching a fundraising campaign to bring this film to communities for free—screening it in community centers, faith spaces, retirement and long-term care facilities across Oregon and beyond—while expanding the program that inspired it, so more young people and elders can connect through storytelling.
