Hanna Kane (she/her)
Hanna has been a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest, growing up in the foothills of the Coast Range before attending the University of Washington to obtain her bachelors' in history and disability studies. Here she was recognized for her social justice-focused research, winning awards for her work on transgender disability studies as well as conducting archival research into PNW lesbian history. Hanna then moved back to Portland in 2023 to pursue a MSW degree from PSU, choosing to focus on harm reduction and LGBTQ+ social work. While ending up withdrawing from the program, she discovered a love for housing justice and community development, and has been working in housing access since. She was a case manager for youth experiencing homelessness before joining the CfPA team, and is excited to bring her experience with mental health, accessibility, and community education to support clients. As Resident Services Coordinator, Hanna feels that her work is most fulfilling when she's supporting people towards their own liberation, and she looks forward to learning from participants as they work with her.
When not at work, you can probably count on Hanna to be at the river with her paddleboard or at home working on one of an assortment of fiber arts.
